Our Carbon Footprint

On The 30th March 2009 we are the first and only Limousine Company in Australia to  Attain -  NoC02 Certification

To achieve certification, we have undertaken a carbon assessment, covering 100% of our emissions. We look to reduce our footprint where possible and continually monitor our impact. Any emissions that we cannot reduce are offset through the purchase of carbon credits. This purchase supports projects that solve climate change; including energy efficiency, renewable energy and waste management projects

Climate change and global warming are among today's most pressing environmental issues, brought about by increased concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. The transport industry is one of the major contributors of green house gases in Australia.

SmartCar's acknowledgment of this fact, made us realise that as a transport company with a large fleet size, we should be playing apart and do our bit to conserve and support the environment and as such we have become the first Chauffeur Limousine Company in Australia, actively reducing its carbon foot print through the reduction of exhaust emmissions, (upto 75% per vehicle.) and reducing overall fuel consumption by 10%

This has been achieved with the help of a simple tablet placed in the fuel tank. The Technology has been developed in the USA by a company called Fuel Freedom International
